●  Introduction

The HONPINE TYD Driven Steering Wheel Module integrates the drive motor, gearbox, steering mechanism, and wheel into a single compact assembly. The wheel can both rotate for driving and move forward or backward, while the entire wheel module can rotate to control the vehicle's steering direction.
With a maximum load capacity of up to 15 tons per wheel, the TYD steering wheel module is designed for heavy-duty AGV and AMR applications. Various shock-absorption solutions are available to meet different vehicle requirements.
The module can be customized according to application requirements, including wheel diameter, gear ratio, motor power, and other specifications. It is particularly suitable for heavy-duty towing AGVs and forklift-type AGVs.

Features

1. Highly Integrated Design

The AGV driving motor, steering motor, gearbox, brake, and encoder are highly integrated into a single steering wheel module. This integrated structure significantly reduces the space required inside the AGV chassis and simplifies vehicle layout and mechanical design.


2. Permanent Magnet Synchronous Servo Motor

The TYD Steering wheel module is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous servo motor as standard. The steering motor is available with either an incremental encoder or multi-turn absolute encoder, providing high positioning accuracy, high resolution, and fast response.

The encoder interface is designed for simple integration and broad compatibility with different AGV control systems.


3. Wide Load Range and High Customization

The TYD driven steering wheel module supports a wide range of load capacities and can be customized for different heavy-duty industrial AGV applications.

Explosion-proof configurations are also available for AGVs operating in hazardous industrial environments.


4. Explosion-Proof Steering Wheel Options

HONPINE can provide customized explosion-proof steering wheel modules with certifications and configurations such as Ex db IIC T4 Gb and Ex db IIC T5 Gb, according to the application and required explosion-protection specifications.

The TYD series provides an integrated solution for heavy-duty AGVs, AMRs, towing vehicles, forklift AGVs, and other industrial mobile robots, combining drive, steering, braking, and position feedback in a compact wheel module.
