For engineers designing precision rotary stations for industrial automation, one question often comes up: when a machine requires high-precision rotation, indexing, or rotary positioning, should you choose a hollow rotary platform or a harmonic rotary actuator? Can they be used interchangeably? Although both are precision rotary motion solutions, their mechanical structures and application characteristics are quite different. In actual equipment, choosing the wrong solution can lead to insufficient load capacity, inadequate rigidity, vibration, speed limitations, or reduced service life.
