●  Introduction

The HONPINE S Series underwater collaborative robot is designed for a wide range of subsea operations, covering tasks from flexible cooperation to precision manipulation with a scalable 2+1 to 6+1 DOF architecture. Built from AL6061 hard anodized aluminum alloy, it supports up to 300 m waterproof depth while maintaining very low underwater weight of 1.9–3.3 kg and a 3 kg payload capacity for stable compact deployment.
The S3 offers a balanced weight-to-performance design for installation and cutting assistance. The S5 is optimized for grasping and non-destructive testing with underwater payload exceeding its dry weight. The S7 delivers ≤0.1 mm repeatability, ROS support, and flexible mounting for high-precision control. Together, the S Series covers cooperative handling to advanced subsea manipulation.

● Full-Scenario Degrees of Freedom Architecture

The series adopts a scalable 2+1 to 6+1 DOF structure, enabling coverage from lightweight cooperative tasks to multi-axis operation and high-precision manipulation. This progressive design allows a single product family to meet diverse underwater operational requirements across different complexity levels.


● Optimized Underwater Weight Balance

Across the full series, underwater weight is reduced to only 1.9 kg–3.3 kg, significantly reducing load demands on ROVs and subsea platforms. The S5 model further demonstrates a unique advantage where underwater effective load exceeds its own structural weight, greatly improving operational efficiency and system endurance.


● Precision and Strength Integration

All models provide a unified 300 N gripping force and a 0–100 mm gripping range, ensuring stable manipulation performance across tasks. The S7 model further enhances capability with ≤0.1 mm repeatability, setting a new benchmark for precision in underwater robotic systems.


● Intelligent Control and Flexible Deployment

The system supports ROS-based integration, position control modes, and multiple installation configurations including upright and inverted mounting. This enables highly flexible deployment for research, industrial inspection, and engineering operations, providing a highly controllable underwater robotic solution.
